Geiode Lighting
About Us
Geiode - The World’s First Recessed Luminaire Designed for Structural Concrete Ceilings
Integrated Structural Concrete Lighting Technology
Geiode is a patented recessed lighting system engineered to integrate directly into structural concrete ceilings during construction.
Unlike conventional pot lights that require dropped drywall ceilings or bulkheads, Geiode becomes part of the concrete slab itself, creating a seamless flush appearance with exposed concrete architecture.
The Problem
Traditional recessed lighting systems were not designed for exposed concrete buildings. In most condominium and commercial projects, secondary drywall ceilings are installed simply to accommodate lighting systems.
- - Reduces ceiling height
- - Adds material and labor costs
- - Creates construction complexity
- - Limits exposed concrete designs
- - Adds framing and finishing work
Key Advantages
- - Direct integration into structural concrete
- - Maximized clear ceiling height
- - Reduced drywall ceiling requirements
- - Flush minimalist architectural appearance
- - Durable reinforced concrete construction
- - Compatible with exposed slab architecture
- - Multiple fixture models and configurations
Applications
- - High-rise condominiums
- - Commercial buildings
- - Luxury residential projects
- - Parkades and infrastructure
- - Bridges and public structures
- - Contemporary exposed concrete interiors
More Than a Luminaire Geiode is not simply a lighting fixture. It is a patented construction-integrated lighting technology developed for modern concrete architecture, combining structural integration, minimalist aesthetics, and construction efficiency in one system.

Why Geiode?
Geiode is the world’s first recessed luminaire designed to be cast directly into structural concrete ceilings; offering a seamless, modern lighting solution for high-rise residential buildings. - Seamless Integration: Installed before the concrete pour, Geiode becomes a permanent part of the slab—flush, clean, and maintenance-free. - Maximize Ceiling Height: Eliminate the need for dropped drywall ceilings or soffits, gaining valuable headroom in low-overhead spaces. - Minimalist Aesthetics: Designed to disappear. The fixture blends into exposed concrete, ideal for modern and industrial interior designs. - Structural Integrity Preserved: Engineered to comply with structural and electrical codes, Geiode installs without weakening concrete elements. - Versatile Designs: Choose from 50+ models, including single, double, and triple-lamp configurations to match lighting needs and architectural vision. - Durable Concrete Construction: Crafted from high-performance concrete with internal reinforcement, built to endure decades without deformation. - Flexible Lighting Options: Compatible with GU10 LED lamps and available in natural grey or custom-painted finishes for design adaptability. - Cost-Effective Installation: Save on material and labor costs by integrating lighting during the concrete forming stage.

Ideal Application of Geiode
The only high-strength concrete potlight designed to recess directly into structural concrete ceilings—perfect for delivering ambient, evenly distributed lighting in condominium main rooms, stair landings, and balconies. - Main Living Areas in Condominiums: Provides clean, evenly distributed general lighting without the need for dropped ceilings. - Emergency Stair Landings (CIP): Installed directly into cast-in-place concrete landings of egress stairs, offering integrated, durable lighting for critical circulation zones. - Condo Balconies with Exposed Slabs: Engineered to endure outdoor exposure while maintaining a flush, minimalist appearance. - Low-Ceiling Residential Units: Maximizes usable ceiling height by eliminating the need for drywall-mounted fixtures. - Exposed Concrete Interior Designs: Complements modern industrial aesthetics with a seamless, hardware-free installation. - Precast and Cast-in-Place Concrete Projects: Fully compatible with both systems—ideal for coordination during early construction stages. - Hallways and Shared Corridors in Condos: Delivers uniform lighting performance and long-term reliability with minimal maintenance.
Highly Commended at the 2025 CIBSE MENA Awards
At the 2025 CIBSE MENA Awards in Dubai, Geiode Lighting was honored with Highly Commended in the Innovative Lighting Product of the Year category, marking an important milestone in our journey of innovation. Selected as one of only four finalists in this category, this recognition reflects the uniqueness of our lighting concept and reinforces Geiode Lighting’s position as an emerging innovator in the regional architectural lighting market.
Message from the Inventor
With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, I recognized a recurring limitation in modern concrete buildings: conventional recessed lighting systems relied heavily on secondary drywall ceilings, reducing ceiling height and limiting exposed concrete architectural design.
This challenge led to the development of Geiode — a patented construction-integrated lighting technology engineered to recess directly into structural concrete ceilings during the building process.
The objective was not simply to create another lighting fixture, but to develop a new approach to architectural lighting that combines structural integration, minimalist aesthetics, and construction practicality within a single system.
Developed through years of research, prototyping, and engineering refinement, Geiode was designed to support the evolving future of exposed concrete architecture and modern high-rise construction.
Today, Geiode represents a new direction in recessed lighting technology for concrete buildings, contemporary interiors, and construction-integrated architectural design.
